Falcon IV Turf Type Tall Fescue Falcon IV is a new and improved, heat and disease resistant, tall fescue variety developed for superior turf quality across a wide area of adaptation. It is dark green in color, fine textured with excellent wear tolerance. Falcon IV exhibits a unique combination of traits including dense growth, improved turf quality and resistance to brown patch incited by Rhizoctonia solani. Falcon IV is an endophyte enhanced tall fescue with >92% Neotyphodium coenophialum endophyte which provides resistance to a number of leaf and crown feeding insects and nematodes. The presence of endophyte also contribute to improved biotic and abiotic stress tolerance, faster seedling establishment, enhanced fall recovery and reduced summer weed invasion.

Me and my husband are very big on lawn and grass care, and this falcon blend is our go to each year. I’ve had fantastic results from full lawn renovation or over seeding the 5 years I’ve sowed this seed blend. It’s the deepest green, and wax texture grass I’ve come across and I love that look!Germinate rate for spring time for us in Kentucky has been around 12 days, and fall around 7 days.We also have 2 German shepherds and a boxer who get plenty of play in the yard and as long as we keep the height around 4 1/2-5inches it with stands all traffic and pee spots.This grass seed also has shipped fresh within a few months of testing on the bag/ lot of seed and has great results from testing. I’ve never received a bag less than 3 months of bagging or testing.Overall this tall fescue is my favorite and I’ve worked in the golf course industry for years, and I’m a passionate on taking care of my lawn and gardens. So from beginners to pros this seed blend is an easy 5 stars. All it needs is water and good weather and you will not be disappointed.
