I would give this product 4.5 stars if it would let me. Not quite 5… but only because I used up three blades doing my yard. Granted, my yard had not been edged in a while, but with metal blades I had expected them to not be ground down so fast. It’s why I purchased a u it with blades … the string drove me crazy!! This one is great, it is lightweight, not super noisy. Good battery life. Easy to use and maintain.I really liked the adjustable wheels on the blade guard (at least in theory, anyway). It would be a great idea to be able to cut the grass at an even height, but the wheels need to roll free, and they don't if you tighten them up well enough to keep them on. Ball bearing hubs, maybe? Wouldn't hurt for the wheels to have some sort of rubberized material on them to help them grab and roll, too. Slightly underpowered, too. Have to be careful or you'll stall it out pretty easily in the heavy stuff. Certainly not an industrial strength unit, but still not a bad tool for the home gamer. This was extremely difficult to assemble -for a senior citizen ... the directions are TERRIBLE! The additional wheel component was difficult and seemingly useless!! The plastic toy wheels will not be helpful on REAL grass ?non-returnable' useless... Ill keep it and charge battery to try effectiveness...and because it took us so long to figure out the assembly. Oh the metal blade guard was broken.upon delivery.. AFTER A FEW USES ... I was pleased, but plastic shield got worn and the catch holds wobbled to a useless point. Too late to return. ? Plastic shield comes off .. NOW I'm using a raw blade with goggles. ?? Still useful ..not quite a piece of junk...YET ?Don't bother buying the 'wheel' attachment. It only gets tied up in the stuff your cutting. Battery life is very short. Cutting power is minimal. I really can't recommend this product for anything other than VERY light use. The circular blades make it look like it would be quire versatile but it's not. Then....there's the issues of ZERO instructions---you are completely on your own when it comes to assembly. Really not much of a product. My lawnmower when out I need something to keep the yard down until lawnmower is back up and raning again, So far so good ?. Holding the handle down can be a bit hard on your hands, but overall it cuts well ever wet grass.the blade holder worked loose on me 2 times even when it was extra tightThere were really no assembly instructions. Kind of had to figure it out through looking at photos, but it wasn't too difficult. One of the batteries' clip was stuck in and it wouldn't stay on when operating. I was able to pop out the clip with a screwdriver, which seems to have fixed the problem. Other than that, it really is a good little machine. Love that it telescopes. I have heavy-duty weeds on a rough desert hillside, and needed something lightweight and maneuverable. This does the trick. So far. So good!Love this Weed wacker!I used the plastic blade 1st, even though it did a good job the Plastic blade snapped after just a few minutes-So i reloaded with the metal blade..WOW what a difference "this works great" !Battery life is really good..1.5 hrs with one charge and it kept its power! The only down side is ,it only covers about 8" at a time..(blade is small)..so you will spend more time on the job-???
