Let me start by saying off the bat, and for the price this weed eater is not bad. As a result of it's low price and powerful engine, some things were compromised. The harness was poorly made and the locking mechanism broke after 1 use. The throttle trigger is poorly made anddtarted developing problems on about it's third use. It finally broke at about 6 uses. Also it's loud and has high fuel consumption. I would only recommend this item for around the house usage. There are no parts available for this machine. Some of the still parts are compatible. But overall a 3.5 rating has been my experienceHow do I describe my time with this machine? It started with a "manual" which was absolutely worthless. There is one on the Amazon product page which is much better, but the one included with the tool was very poorly translated.Assembly was more or less straightforward. Getting the handles set comfortably took a few tries, and the screws rattled loose a few times before I really cranked them down. The tool kit included with it has everything you need.Using the machine was a mixed bag. Plenty of power. I mean, just obliterating plants with extreme prejudice. The harness it comes with requires some kind of fastening of the straps to each other, otherwise it will not hold the machine steady. The biggest problem was the trimmer head. The instructions and a YouTube video both say to open it up and wrap the string around by hand. Don't do that. Open it up and run the string through so the head sits at the midpoint of the string, then put it back together. Then just rotate the handle on the bottom of the head clockwise. That'll wind it up automatically. Any other method leads to repeated line breaks and you'll end up taking it apart a thousand times to give yourself 2 string ends again. The brush cutter attachment is NOT something to play with. It spins fast, and does not slow down when you introduce it to organic material. Again, plenty of power in this machine. Use it carefully and it will deforest your yard and not even cough at it.Anyway, the reason all of my experience is in the past tense here is because the machine died with less than 25 hours of service on it. Turns out that somehow the piston skirt made contact with the cylinder side wall, and now it will not start again. The seller, (WONDER MASTER-US) for all intents and purposes, does not exist after they get your money. They have no website, no email address, no phone number, and even Amazon customer service spent 30 minutes trying to find a way to contact them about their "1 year warranty" advertised on the page, but with no luck. The ONLY way to contact them is through the Amazon app, and even then, responses are spotty. They gave me a phone number, and took my phone number and address, and I haven't heard from them since. Calling the phone number gets you to a full voicemail box that says to leave a message and they'll call back.I got the Asurion protection plan, which ended up working out in my favor. After the seller and manufacturer disappeared they cut me a check for the purchase price. I ended up taking the money to Home Depot and buying a name brand machine for about the same price. Fingers crossed that works out better than this one did.I would give it more stars but the assembly was a bit more involved than expected and the harness seems flimsy for the weight of the trimmer. When I moved in to a half an acre home from a small house, i brought with me the small lawnmower and the small battery charged weed eater I'vehad for years. Part of the backyard is wild and rocky and my tools were not prepared for this. This part can not be cut with lawnmower, it has to be done with an industrial capacity weed eater.Started doing research and visited local stores and could not decide. Found this one and I was hesitant because I had never heard of the brand.I felt the price and what some people said this was capable of doing were not adding up. Finally I decided to buy it and boy I was impressed. As many reviews show, the instructions are not very clear and the thing to carry isnt good either but I was able to put it together and my skills as a handy man are very limited and bought a better strap and thats it.It went through the brush like a beast. Very powerful tool. Not too much vibration. I was afraid because I recently had back surgery but after using it for a few hours at a time, it doesnt hurt my back. Just buy the right strap! In summary, this is the best weed eater I've purchased. Very good value for the price.Revised.... After a few months.. 1st part: I read some reviews on how the instructions were lousy and boy they were. The Unit itself is very nice and easy to use. Some had some negative things to say and I'm not saying they were wrong. Some units can be deffective, sucks but that dose happen.Mine however has been very good and love using it on the property. There are many things I can list to why I like the Gas Trimmer Unit and so far the Only negative is the Manuel and Poorly Designed Harness witch I tied so it would work for me.I did a video that I don't think made it in so I'll try to make another one.2nd Part: After using this trimmer for a few months and, off and on each time I used it. It was a great buy until it just stopped starting. First the pulley totally froze up and customer service emailed back and forth acting like they had no idea what I was talking about. After waiting on Nothing to happen. I've tried to fix it with good YouTube diy vids and this thing is totally froze. No tricks to get it going will work. So if you're looking for a inexpensive way to clear your area your self and not pay someone else the. Great buy. If you plan to use it often and keep maintenance up so it'll last. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY. This trimmer is not for prolonged use.
