Doctor Johnny Feelgood's got the cure for your ailing soul. If you don't feel good after a session of Doctor Johnny Feelgood, then you have done passed on to a better place and there's nothing the Doctor can do. But if you are still here and like cleansing your soul with the Doctor's sometimes pulsating, sometimes soothing, and sometimes down right toe-tapping, footstomping, grab a partner, shed your socks and shoes, barefoot kicking bluegrass, then you are in luck, for the Doctor is in, and he is helping those in need! Speaking of those in need, the Doctor has an elixir to help you achieve feelgood status. Help a neighbor, or let someone in front of you in traffic. You'll be amazed to see someone else feel good at the same time you do, all of course, while listening to My Grass Is Blue! These tunes were written about real places in the mountains of North Carolina, where I grew up. My parents would take a Sunday drive into a different part of the mountains, a trip I always looked forward to. Some of these tunes are of places my Dad and I would go trout fishing and the tales that accompany any fishing trip. It is with these thoughts in mind that I dedicate this first in a series of Doctor Johnny Feelgood compilations to my parents, John & Mary, ( Thanks for the music lessons! ), my son Tyler, my daughters Makenzy & Reagan, for all their love, support, encouragement, and understanding, I am truly a blessed man.
