I have stickers n yard now & puppy is not fully vaccinated so this is good for potty training until I can clear yard & it's safe for him to be out there. It drains well & somewhat durable. He doesn't scratch @ it. It is frayed it ends so if he were a scratcher I don't think it would hold up well. It has a super funky smell & gets hot in the sun! Highly suggest putting it in shade if possible! Luckily this is temporary. When it's not 115°F & I can clear stickers out & his fully vaccinated this will b cleaned & repurposed 4his various place settings 4trainingI ordered a bunch of these Artificial Grass roles from different brands to compare and contrast... but as it turns out, they're all entirely identical, with only the slightest variation on length. These smell pretty bad right out of the packaging, but it isn't noticeable after airing out. The inside-end of the roll also takes a bit to relax and stay flat, but eventually does with some coaxing and time in the sun. It's wrapped in cling wrap, then a tarp-like wrap on the outside. When handling it, it leaves a substance on my hands... I feel like more time in the sun will only cause it to leach more, so I think this will always be a problem, but it's more prevalent on the bottom than on the grass portion. The grass itself feels decent on bare skin. It didn't shed too much, and vacuums nicely. The rubber backing has little holes in it to pin to the ground, as needed. The width measures 3 feet, but the length seems to vary slightly between 59-60 inches. It all comes down to price, and this one seems competitive if you only need a small amount.Artificial grass isn’t fancy and it doesn’t look quite like real grass but it fills a dirt patch well and brings a bit of color and softness to areas that don’t grow grass easily. These 3 *5 pieces come tightly rolled. The rolls are light and roll out smoothly without much curve remaining in them once unrolled. The ends can be smoothed or stepped on once or twice and they lay flat. We are using ours in a wooded area the kids build forts in. It adds a touch of color for them, and can be easily blown off with a blower. The grass is heavy enough not to blow off the ground when you blow it off. This is a nice addition to their fort. This could also be good for edging areas, under swings, etc. This is holding up very well. We're using it in an outdoor cat house. We've had a lot of rain and I haven't noticed any issues with the grass getting stinky or retaining water. We were able to fairly easily cut it to size to fit in the cat house. At first the strands were bent downward but after a few days they did settle. The grass arrives rolled up (1 single piece) and I trimmed the width a bit to give me extra strands to cover the bottom of the cat house. If you're wondering about how much grass this comes with, just think that it will cover the inside of the cat house pictured.Overall, good product.During my lifetime we never watered the lawn here in Seattle, we let it go brown for the short period we wouldn't get any rain during the summer. But these past few years we keep setting records for driest summer which means watering. So we are trying to figure out what we can do to adjust with the climate changes. Artificial lawn never crossed our mind until now. Not going to replace the entire lawn (at least for now) but seeing what we can do. Maybe use this in specific areas like most walked on? Putting green? For now I have this (and a few others) laid out back to see how they are going to hold up. This doesn't actually look too bad, in fact, I like how the textured green pops out. It is short and looks a little sparse up close but not horrible. And there are a few yellow blades I guess to help make it look real? There's a nice but thin rubber mat on the bottom which makes it easy to work with. It feels nice to walk on in bare feet.I've had a lawn my entire life. They not only look good but help keep the soil together. But times are changing and we may need to look at alternatives.I have been ordering turf panels to see how they withstand the test of time before I install a huge perimeter of artifical turf in my back yard. I have a large area where my deck was and it is under a large 100 year oak. Grass will not grow there. It is dirt, just dirt. My son who lives in Florida suggested turf but told me to try several brands before choosing. I have 7 different strips out in my yard now since August. They have been through blistering 100+' weather, drenching rains, 3 dogs trampling all over them and just regular usage. This strip has proven to be the winner. Not only do I like the color but I like how it feels under my bare feet. My dogs lay on this one and eschew the other strips. I will be honest though. All the ones I tried stank to high heaven when I opened them. All of them came tightly packaged and wrapped. But whew when you opened them. After 2-3 days the chemical smell abates and all if well. This Weideir 0.8 Artificial turf is very real looking, like healthy grass. It is thick and well made. I used ours on a patio area on our porch and it has gone through storms, with no damage or fading. I believe it was worth it's cost and we are considering getting a second to make our porch area look even nicer. Super great product found on Amazon.
