Seed was purchased for an area adjacent to an establish lawn where we chose to extend the lawn. Weeds were pulled, topsoil brought in and the area prepared well. Area is about 10 feet times 60 feet. Almost entire bag was used. Germination started in just under two weeks. There is one bald area it is possible the sprinklers are not covering out well it will need receded. The challenge now is to keep the area weed free until the grass Fills in. Grass was planted in the proper temperature zone and was water twice daily. I may buy another bag to fill in sparse areasThis Rapid 2x really works. The key is the water. You have to water your lawn daily or twice daily. I literally saw results with one week!1. Clean/ rake the area needed2. Lay down the dirt and Spread the seeds3. If no dirt, no worries. Just spread seeds evenly via the spreader.4. If no spreader, no worries. Just use you hand and scatter. (Lol) just make you every area needed.5. Optional: use rake to spread6. Water using sprinkler or use water hose (dont jet spray the seeds). You have to be diligent to see results.Enjoy. ?So this did indeed sprout when they said it would. They have a pic on the bag that shows what it should look like (top view) after a couple different time periods. Mine does look a lot like the pictures. The reason I knocked the star off was because so much of the seed didn’t sprout. This is a new lawn and has new soil and I personally watered it several times a day. It came in very patchy. It’s been 6 weeks now and I can still see a lot of the unsprouted seed on the dirt. Can’t imagine I did anything wrong since it grew fine in other less-ideal areas. I’ll over-sow this fall and see if that thickens it up.Picture is 7 days in, will post updates. I used glyphosate to kill the garbage grass, waited a week. I rototilled with SunJoe TJ603e (also good) and raked it out. Used seed spreader, raked it out again and water 3x a day for 1/2 hour each. Tried to follow directions given as closely as I could in my sun and shade area, northern region. Will probably need to spot seed but stay tuned... so far, so good!EDIT: Continues to fill in nicely with just a few bare spots (see pic at 2 weeks). Raked out the spots and hand seeded. I have a small 3 foot wide strip in front which was growing slowly but got a timer to water every 8 hours and started to grow faster. Regular watering is important.FINAL EDIT: See third picture at 3 weeks. I have an actual lawn! All in with seed, equipment etc 200 bucks. Our yard was a mess from a construction project. Our contractor "planted grass", but the results were deplorable. My guess is he used expired seed. In frustration after watering his seed for 3 weeks, I gave up because almost no grass had sprouted and weeds were plentiful. After stewing for a while, I decided to do it myself as I could not stand looking at the yard. I sprayed the weeds with weed killer and started over. This product produced lots of grass in less than a full week! I am thrilled. I do have a few spots on the edges that I need to overseed, but I'm sure those bare areas are my fault. Amazon had the best price per ounce with the small bag, plus Amazon keeps letting me use a $6 off coupon each time I order. I have ordered one bag at a time over several days to have enough to cover the torn up areas. Follow the instructions, and you will have grass in no time.I put out grass seed on September 18 and it came up quickly. I have mowed it for the first time on October 6. I did spread the seed really heavily because I wanted fast results. Looking good!I used this product in my back yard after noticing some dead areas, I purchased new soil and mixed it together and planted in the bare spots, some began to grow and other areas didn't grow at all, not one blade of new grass.I normally don't write reviews, but the description stated growth a minimum of 12 days. I got my order august 10, spread the seed a day or two later after aerating soil, watered a lot and on the 18th noticed grass sprouting well. Only on the aerated soil tho. Some soil didn't get done as it was too hot and I was tired. Grass IS coming in there though, but not as quickly as soil that was filled with a spade. I'm so pleased with that that I ordered another bag last night. I have just a few large spots in my yard that I want to fill in, so dispersed the seed by hand. I believe some of the 'blue' was fertilizer, so want to apply more actual seed. Both fertilizer and seed look blue, so apply abundantly which is something I discovered. Will apply more. Good product!!
