Description
[New exclusive design]-The Avanz Outdoor Light Pole features a new and exclusive design ground stake with a serrated shape on all four sides. After many experiments, our ground stake can hold the surrounding soil better than a normal fork base, ensuring that the metal light pole stands upright in the dirt , not easy to tilt in strong wind and rain. [For Garden Grass]-This is a light pole used on garden grass- The product contains 2 exclusive designed ground stakes, 8 sections of light poles (4 sections make up 1 light pole). You can use your own weight to insert the ground stake into the grass. If it is on a hard dirt ground, our structure supports the use of a hammer, and then the light pole is fixed to the ground stake with screws, which is easy to install. [Suitable for many occasions]- These posts for outdoor chandeliers are not just for pendant lights, they can also be used to display a variety of decorations, including banners, lanterns, balloons. This is a nice set of poles to hang lights from, very tall. Please note that these need to be mounted to an existing fence or wall as they do not come with a floor mount or spikes to stick in the lawn. These do not seem as heavy duty as another set of light poles that I have, but then again those were more expensive. These poles push together with a male and female ends, they do not thread together. It is nice they each pole is connected with a small wire that goes through all the pieces so they can be taken apart easy in the off season, and you won't lose them as each pole is one piece. These are nice, well-made (and expensive) light poles. But realize: they are tall – 10 feet above ground, nearly 11½ feet from end to end with the stake (see photo). This does make them ideal for supporting string lights across your lawn. Or they can be useful for making a really impactful statement with holiday decorations 10 feet off the ground. My issue with them is that they really are not collapsible. Each pole comes in 4 sections, threaded together with a stainless steel wire (see photo). You need to push the 4 sections together – and to get each section fully inserted into the next, you really need to use a mallet (as the instructions indicate). But once you do that, it’s pretty much impossible to ever get those sections back apart without having to use tools that will damage the finish. And that’s really unfortunate, because that makes storage of or travel with these poles very difficult. You can’t even stand them up in your garage. Or throw them in your car to take to an event. These poles would have been great for event planning and holiday decorating if they could just be dismantled, for example, by making the sections screw together rather than just get pounded together. One suggestion: if you do want to be able to dismantle them, don’t push the sections together any further than you can with your hand force. The poles won’t be as sturdy (or even perfectly straight) – but if you’re just using them for a one-night event, such as a garden party, they should be fine. Then you can pull them back apart for storage. Otherwise, these light poles are more useful for semi-permanent (seasonal) or permanent installation, where the tight fitting pole sections will stay together in all weather and you don’t need to worry about storage needs.A couple miscellaneous thoughts: the instructions were packed right on top of the stakes, which are sharp. So my instructions arrived shredded (see photo) from movement during shipping. But they are easy to assemble – 5 minutes for each pole, and you will need a mallet if you want to correctly and fully assemble the poles (but this will then prevent you from ever disassembling them). These worked well, assembled well, and best of all they were a bit more simple to assemble than some earlier ones I ordered! No concerns with these, and recommended for speed of assembly and install compared to some others I've had. This pole is tall and heavy duty. The material seems durable. I couldn't set it up by myself so i needed another person to help. It will be a "permanent" pole for me.Wished it's a little bit easier to connect the poles together.I ordered three different sets of these light poles and this is the best set I received. They're very sturdy. They are easy to assemble, but best of all, they're very versatile. You can install on concrete, in the ground, or on decking. I don't have a concrete pad, but I did try them on decking and in the ground and they were sturdy on both counts. You do have to pound them pretty deeply into the ground if you're putting them in the grass, but the spear end of the stick makes it easier to do and you put that part into the ground first and add the pole afterward, so it's not as hard as pounding a 9-foot pole in.I'd recommend these.I got these for a few different jobs, but one of them is holding up the bottom end of an awning, off the side deck. And, they're doing their thing. Easy to assemble and put up, decent material. I Dig 'Em ?These break down and set up like those tent poles that have the wire in them! That means that besides being easy to use in a permanent situation, like intended, but you can take these to remote locations and use them too! Like for camping, or any other remote outdoor activity. The beach, kits sports, anything. They are truly heavy duty and very tall. However when broken down, 6 or more of these could be stored in a long gym bag or similar bag and taken anywhere.I am definitely going to use them on off-road excursions that include camping. These would make excellent support poles for a shade shelter and then run your led rechargeable string lights d over them for some mood lighting.Yup, easy 5 stars. Mine will be portable but the hardware that comes with it makes it very easy to attach these to any flat surface, like a wooden fence, as described. I'm going to use some 12" long rebar driven half way in the ground, set these over that, and then use some paracord as a ridge support, and guy lines to keep everything taught, and if I set it all up correctly, I should be able to erect the entire thing myself in no time at all.Despite the advertised tilt resistant spike I had some tilting with a heavy string of lights. Though I'm only using 2 poles to support a 92ft string of lights. I'm pretty sure if I got a few more of these poles I wouldn't have that problem. So I don't suspect everyone to have the same issues I had.
